FC kickers sweeps Crystal Springs

MEADVILLE – The FC Soccer Dawgs kept their undefeated season going with a convincing 5-0 win over Crystal Springs, highlighted by two goals apiece from Ethan ‘Kemo’ Verdin and Greg Queen.

FC coached by Jeff Long stand 18-0-2 overall and host Natchez Cathedral Tuesday night in a key district game, the Bulldogs wrap the season Friday at North Pike before entering playoff action next week on Jan 27.

Assists by Verdin, Kyle McCormick, and Brant Mullins aided the Bulldogs. FC is off to its best start in school history in boys’ soccer, the team is filled with several seniors and juniors with playoff experience as well.

As for the Lady Bulldogs they were led by a hat trick each from Kenzie Whitehead and Krislyn Kent, en route to a 11-0 win over Crystal Springs to raise their record to 19-2 overall. Shelby Smith added four assists.

FC will hold senior night tonight, before the Cathedral game, starting at 5.
