Funeral Services for Margaret Marie Dow of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at St. James M.B. Church with burial in Rose Hill City Cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, from 1 until 5 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mrs. Dow, 96, died Feb. 17, 2015, at her residence. She was born on Jan. 7, 1919, in Caseyville to Henry Davis and Anna Haney.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Rufus Dow Sr.; son, Willie Dow; three brothers; and one sister.

Survivors are her son, Rufus Dow Jr. and wife, Irma, of Brookhaven; daughters, Delores Ashley and Mary El-Amin of Fort Worth, Texas, Myrtis Holmes, Mary L. Rowe and husband, Harold, Marilyn Dow-Harris and husband, Jimmy and Phillis Strauthers, all of Brookhaven; sisters, Velma Gayten of Brookhaven, Anna Margie Bass of San Jose, California, Ruthie Mae Merchant of Brookhaven; and many other grandchildren and other relatives.
