 Private graveside services will be held for Rachel Summers Means of Brookhaven on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Lincoln County at 10:30 a.m. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Means, 90, died at her residence on May 5, 2015. She was born in Lincoln County on Dec. 5, 1924, to Edna Neal Summers and Zephaniah Summers.0508RachelMeans

She was a homemaker and belonged to the Holiness faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 66 years, Vance N. Means; and her brother, Carl Summers.

Survivors include her daughter, Juda Rich, of Brookhaven; her grandchildren, Tammie Santos Brewer and husband, Dennis, of Brookhaven, Roger Dale Rich Jr. and wife, Rhonda, of Monticello, and Terry Rich Tate and husband, Steve, of Tyler, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Jeremy Smith of Brookhaven, Jordan Efurd of Mississippi, Joshua Rich of Monticello, Liana Bass Cavin and husband, Bryan, of Brookhaven, Jacob Rich of Monticello, Rachel Efurd of Tyler and Brianna Rich of Monticello; three step-great-grandchildren, Dustin Brewer and wife, Donna, of Meadville, Derrick Brewer and wife, Jonie, of Wesson, and Kayla Vigil and husband, Matt, of Wilmer, Texas; two great-great-grandchildren, Maddie Smith of Harlingen, Texas, and Karli Smith of Brookhaven; nine step-great-great-grandchildren; and her two nieces, Susan Summers of Crystal Springs and Shelley Summers of Brookhaven.
