James G. Murray, 75, died on Monday, June 29, 2015, at the Lawrence County Nursing Center. 

After cremation by Riverwood Family Funeral Service, the family and close friends had a private service to honor James at his home in Silver Creek. James was born in Meridian on Dec. 11, 1939. He was an electrician most of his life and enjoyed riding Harley motorcycles.

He is survived by one son, Troy Murray of Grand Saline, Texas; four daughters, Delee Landrum of Bridgeport, Texas, Sherry Scheidt of Bridgeport, Tia Graff of Union and Jammie Moss of Cleburne, Texas; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. RIP, Dad. The family wishes to thank all those who paid their respect and helped at the home.
