Funeral services for Vivian H. Posey are Thursday, Aug. 5, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Friendship Cemetery. Bro. Talmadge Smith will be officiating the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, from 6 until 8 p.m. and will continue at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Mrs. Posey, 89, of Brookhaven, died on Friday, July 31, 2015, at Brook Manor Nursing Home. She was born May 11, 1926, in Vicksburg to Lamar and Dora Dickey Herring.

She was a retired insurance agent from White Insurance Agency in Brookhaven. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, flowers and loved to crochet. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Leonard Posey.

Survivors are her son, Michael Posey and wife, Patricia, of Brookhaven; daughter, Debby Bodin and husband, Glenn, of Brookhaven; sisters, Laverne Herring Smith of Brookhaven, and Edith Herring Smothers and husband, Bill, of Marianna, Florida; brothers, W L Herring and wife, Darlene, of Littleton, Colorado, and Thomas Ray Herring of Marianna, Florida; grandchildren, Jeff Posey and wife, Joanna, and Kelsey Bodin Myers and husband, Chet; great-grandchildren, Claire Posey, Caleb Myers, Justin Posey and Taylor Myers; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
