A celebration mass for Donald Keith Harris will be Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. at the church with mass to follow at 10 a.m. Friends will gather after the funeral in the church parish center.

Mr. Harris, 81, of Brookhaven, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at his residence. He was born Aug. 27, 1934 to Gale Reeling Harris and Vivian Faye Mosher Harris.

He was a member of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Brookhaven and a volunteer firefighter for 45 years. He retired from Conrail and was a member of Fort Wayne Division Veteran Association of Pennsylvania Railroaders. He was an Emergency Management Director for 11 years and a member of Brookhaven Animal Rescue League.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Harris, and his brother Harvey Harris.

Survivors are his wife, Rose Ann Harris; sons, Steve Harris and wife, Tracy, Gary Harris and wife, Lisa; daughters, Cindy Schrader and husband, Gary, Debra Smith and Julia Ozab.

He will be dearly missed by his cats, Snowball, Tiny, Boots, Bobbie and Tommy.
