Arrests

The Lincoln County Jail Docket for Wednesday was as follows:

 

• Shaun T. Adams, 05-05-83, of 140 North Street Drive — arrested for probation violation by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

• Terry A. Beadles, 08-11-84, of 1035 Pine Tree Lane, McComb — arrested for manslaughter by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

• Dennis R. Butler, 12-16-81 — arrested for first offense DUI, no proof of liable insurance and failure to yield by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

• Jeffery D. Hickman, 08-13-64, of 166 Star-Braxton Road, Braxton — arrested for possession of beer in a dry county by the LCSO.

• Larry Lambert, 07-17-63, of 545 Givens Mullins Road, Monticello — arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, driving on the wrong side of the road and simple assault/domestic violence by the LCSO.

• Rosett Newsome, 01-22-80, of 35 John Peyton Lane, Monticello — arrested for speeding and driving with a suspended license by the Brookhaven Police Department.

• Phyllis D. Peartree, 07-22-78, of East Bryant St. — arrested for shoplifting by BPD.

• Mary Williams, 11-05-57, of 313 East Monticello St. — arrested for probation violation by MDOC.

• Erik D. Branch, 07-23-89, of 3787 Highway 583, Ruth — arrested for probation violation by MDOC.

Local weather stats

The Wastewater Treatment Facility in Brookhaven reported a high of 87 degrees for Thursday and a low of 71. The temperature at 7:30 a.m. Friday was 72 degrees. There was .27 inches of precipitation.

 

Fire reports

The Brookhaven Fire Department responded to smoke coming out of a house on East Court Street Thursday. The smoke was discovered to be coming from food left in the oven. Firefighters arrived at approximately 10:14 a.m. and were back at around 10:45 a.m.

Ambulance Report

King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service had 20 calls Thursday; eight were transfers, with four to Jackson, two to Southwest and two to the city. There were 12 emergency calls, with seven medical, five in the city and two in the county. There was one trauma in the county and three motor vehicle accidents in the city. There was one cardiac in the county.
