• Michael Thomas, 01-30-80, of 1904 Progress Trail — arrested for failure to pay child support by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

• Howard B. Washington Jr., 05-12-85, 830 Northeast Howard Road — arrested for serving weekends by LCSO.

• Amber Ard, 09-06-77, of 1042 Highway 51 Southeast — arrested for possession of a weapon by a convicted felon by LCSO.

• Willie Bryant, 04-08-67, of 1919 Cold Spring Road, Bogue Chitto — arrested for first offense DUI and possession of liquor in a dry county by LCSO.

Copiah County Reports 

The Wesson Police Department reports no activity for Monday.

The Copiah County Sheriff’s Department reports no activity for Monday.

The Wesson Volunteer Fire Department reports to a tractor trailer fire on Monday morning at mile marker 56. Firefighters responded to the call at 3:39 a.m. and left the scene around 9:52 a.m. No injuries were reported.

 

Highway Patrol Reports

Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M reported to a car accident on I-55 Tuesday morning at 3:55 a.m. The car was southbound and north of exit 48 when the accident happened. No injuries were reported.

 

King’s Daughters
Ambulance Report

King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service had 17 calls Monday; three were transfers, with one to the city and two to Jackson. There were 14 emergency calls, with seven medical, five in the city and two in the county. There were two traumas one in the city and one in the county. There were five motor vehicle accidents all in the county.

Local weather stats

The Wastewater Treatment Facility in Brookhaven reported a high of 83 degrees for Monday and a low of 58. The temperature at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday was 61 degrees. There was 0.0 inches of precipitation.

 

River Stages

On Monday the Mississippi River stage at Vicksburg, where the flood stage is 43 feet, was 9.4, down 0.1 feet in the past 24 hours. In Natchez, where the flood stage is 48 feet, was 16.6, down 0.4 feet in the past 24 hours. The Pearl River stage at Jackson, where the flood stage is 12 feet, was 3.9, down 0.0 feet in the past 24 hours.

 

Fire reports

The Brookhaven Fire Department reported to a fire alarm on Monday at Tillman Furniture. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 6:25 p.m. and left the scene at 6:40 p.m.
