Groups retire flags

Photo submitted Jack Rippy, pictured here with Hog Chain Volunteer Fire Department Chief John Hart, retired a flag in honor of his late father on Saturday at Exchange Club Park as a part of a flag retiring event. Many organizations were represented and participated by burning flags including: Boy Scouts of America Troop 450 and Pack 450, the Brookhaven Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Exchange Club, Modern Woodmen of America, local VFDs and the Brookhaven Fire Department as well as a host of veterans.
