GALLMAN – The Lincoln County All-Stars eliminated Wesson 17-4 inthe second round of the Dixie Youth Baseball Major League NorthSubdistrict Six Tournament Saturday night. The tournament isdouble-elimination.

Tonight, Lincoln County faces Crystal Springs at 6 p.m. TheBrookhaven Nationals tangle with the Brookhaven American in abattle of unbeaten at 8.

The winning pitcher was Niel Smith with five strikeouts and fivewalks. Brantley Goza absorbed the loss.

Virgil Sanders powered Lincoln County with a grand slam home run(in the first inning) and a single for five RBI’s. Demetrius Wilsondoubled and singled to score two runs. A double from Alonzo Harrisscored two RBI. Also doubling was Amon Herring.

Wesson got a hit apiece from Mason Douglas and John Cliburn.
