Services for Edna J. Brown of Byram are 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept.7, at Baldwin-Lee Chapel with burial at 3 p.m. in Bethel BaptistChurch Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.

Visitation is Wednesday, Sept. 6, from 2:30-8 p.m. atBaldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Jackson.

Mrs. Brown, 85, died Sept. 5, 2000, of heart failure at CentralMississippi Medical Center. She was a native of Lincoln County andhad lived in Hinds County for the past 53 years.

She was a homemaker. She had worked at School Pictures Inc. Shewas a member of First Baptist Church of Byram.

Preceding her in death was her husband, William Ira Brown.

Survivors are her son, Maxie R. Brown of Chunky; her daughters,Judy B. Hinton of Hattiesburg and Janice B. Thomas of Jackson; andeight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Lula Fay Cleckler

Services for Lula Fay Cleckler of Brookhaven are 4 p.m.,Thursday, Sept. 7, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inCleckler Family Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday, Sept. 6, from 4-10 p.m. at HarrigillFuneral Home.

Mrs. Cleckler, 71, died Sept. 5, 2000, of heart failure at St.Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. She was born in Texas on March 29,1929, to Loyd Eli Clark and Mattie Lois Slate Clark.

She was a retired offshore steward. She was a member of theMethodist faith.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, Aubrey Craig and DoyceCleckler.

Survivors are her sons, Ted Cleckler and Eddie Cleckler, both ofBrookhaven; her daughter, Joyce Smith of Brookhaven; her sister,Earlene Donnerly of Abilene, Texas; and nine grandchildren and 12great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Emogene Saxon Redd

Services for Dorothy Emogene Saxon Redd of Bogue Chitto were 10a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 5, at Johnson Grove Church of Christ withburial in Johnson Grove Cemetery. Harrigill Funeral Home was incharge of arrangements.

Mrs. Redd, 78, died Sept. 2, 2000, at her residence. She wasborn in Quitman, Ark., on July 27, 1922, to Jim Saxon and LudieNewby Saxon.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Johnson Grove Church ofChrist.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother, JessSaxon; and her sister, Laurene Warrick.

Survivors are her husband, R. J. Redd of Bogue Chitto; her sonsand daughters-in-law, Anthony and Brenda Redd of Zachary, La., andWendell R. and Judine Redd of Bogue Chitto; her daughters andsons-in-law, Diane and Larry Dunaway of Columbia and Linda K. andValmond Wallace of Zachary, La.; her sisters, Jimmie J. Lockman ofRogers, Ark., Edith Hoover of Picayune, and Hattie J. Dano ofBrookhaven; and 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
