A Monticello man was killed Monday morning in a one-vehicleaccident in Copiah County.

Jeffrey Benjamin “Benji” Harvey, 23, died after his 2000Chevrolet truck left Interstate 55, near the Crystal Springs exit,around 9:30 a.m., said officials.

The vehicle apparently rolled over, throwing Harvey from thevehicle, said Copiah County Coroner Phil Howard.

Harvey was traveling north on I-55 apparently, en route toJackson.

“He was going to Jackson to meet his parents,” said Howard,adding that the parents were coming from the Brookhaven area.

Harvey was a recent Mississippi College graduate with a 3.25grade point average in marketing. He also attended Copiah-LincolnCommunity College.

Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello is in charge ofarrangements.
