Lady Panthers ease past McComb in division play

Kayla Allen drilled a home run and a single to power theBrookhaven Lady Panthers to a 10-8 Division 6-4A win over theMcComb Lady Tigers Tuesday night.
Juliana Wallace nailed a pair of triples and a single for theLady Panthers. Doubling and singling was Ginny Dunaway. LindseyMarble and Shamika Gilmore collected two singles apiece. Hittingsafely were Devin Porter, Chiquita Rancifer, Cortney Fielder, EricaWallace and Erin Lyons.

The 4-1 Brookhaven junior varsity girls were led byKristin Wallace who homered, doubled and singled. Mandy Vinson andPorter homered and doubled. A triple and two singles were hit bySamantha Boutwell. A triple and single was belted by Kayla Prince.Chavaquah Smith, Renata Allza and Kensey Hoff hit two singlesapiece.
Brookhaven (8-10), coached by Lisa Covington, hostsLawrence County Thursday night for a division matchup. The JVbegins at 6 p.m. followed by varsity at 7.
