Services for Gerome Thomas of Champaign, Ill., are 2:30 p.m.,Saturday, Oct. 21, at Jericho Church of Christ with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, Oct. 20, from noon until 8 p.m. withfamily hour from 7-8 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Thomas, 47, died Oct. 15, 2000, at Care Centre in Urbana,Ill. He was born in Lincoln County on June 16, 1953, to Jess Thomasand Evelyn Hilson Adams.

He was a roofer and plasterer.

Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers, and onesister.

Survivors are his wife, Susan Walker Thomas of Champaign, Ill.;his stepdaughters, Judith Walker and Sandra Walker, both ofChampaign, Ill.; his stepson, Robert Walker of Champaign, Ill.; hisbrothers, Lawrence Adams of Champaign, Ill., J. C. Adams ofMinneapolis, Minn., Jessie V. Adams of Lansing, Mich., andGrandberry Adams, Sherley Adams, James Ray Thomas, and JohnnieThomas, all of Brookhaven; and six grandchildren.
