Dianne K. Boyd

Services for Dianne K. Boyd of Monticello are 11 a.m., Thursday,Nov. 2, at Monticello United Pentecostal Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 5 p.m. until service timeat the church. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Mrs. Boyd, 55, died Oct. 31, 2000, of heart failure atUniversity Medical Center. She was born in Rayville, La., on Feb.13, 1945.

She was a homemaker and the former owner of Gerald’s SandwichShop. She was a member of Monticello United Pentecostal Church.

Preceding her in death was her father, Clyde Kelly.

Survivors are her husband, Gerald Boyd of Monticello; hermother, Etta B. Spencer of Ferriday, La.; her sons, Lane Watson andKenneth Watson, both of Clayton, La.; her daughter, MichelleParkman of Monticello; her brother, Roger Kelly of Tupelo; hersister, Brenda Cain of Ferriday, La.; and six grandchildren and anumber of nieces and nephews.

Kyle Ray Cowart

Services for Kyle Ray Cowart of Smithdale are 11 a.m., Thursday,Nov. 2, at Concord Baptist Church in Franklin County with burial inthe church cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 5-9 p.m. and Thursday from8-10 a.m. at Franklin Funeral Home.

Mr. Cowart, 35, died Oct. 31, 2000, of injuries sustained in anautomobile accident at Smithdale. He was born in Meadville on March11, 1965, to W. H. Cowart and Dona Jones Cowart. He was a graduateof Franklin High School and attended Southwest MississippiCommunity College for two years.

He was a mill manager for Franklin County Timber Company. He wasa member of Concord Baptist Church. He was a Mason.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Edna Cowart andNorris “Dude” Jones.

Survivors are his parents, W. H. and Dona Cowart of Smithdale;his grandmother, Ruby Jones of Meadville; his grandfather, WillieRay Cowart of Smithdale; his brother, Shelly Cowart of Smithdale;his sisters, Carol Hall of Summit and Shawn Miller of Natchez; hisspecial friend, Kelly Spring of Baton Rouge; and two nieces andfour nephews.

Memorials may be made to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital inJackson or to the Mississippi Baptist Children’s Village.

Russell E. Ross

Services for Russell E. Ross of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Friday,Nov. 3, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Rose HillCemetery.

Visitation is Thursday, Nov. 2, from 5-9 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home.

Mr. Ross, 70, died Oct. 31, 2000, at Haven Hall Nursing Home. Hewas born in Mendota, Ill., on Jan. 24, 1930, to Wayne Ross andGladys Carver Ross.

He was a member of the Lutheran faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Van Den Bossche ofBrookhaven.
