The Enterprise Yellow Jackets swept the host Salem Wildcats inbasketball action from Thursday night. The Yellow Jackets downedthe Wildcats 67-52, while the Lady Jackets stayed perfect with a49-40 win over the Lady Wildcats.

Enterprise visits division nemesis Bogue Chitto tonight.

Enterprise 67, Salem 52

Shermaine Vaughn and Rufus Allen combined for 45 in theYellow Jackets’ victory. Vaughn pumped in 24, grabbed 8 reboundsand blocked 2 shots and Allen added 21 points and 6rebounds.

Salem took a 14-12 first quarter lead, but the Jacketsoutscored the Wildcats 17-11 in the second frame to take a 29-25halftime lead. Enterprise never trailed after that as they improvedto 3-5 overall, 2-1 in Division 7-1A.

Greg Smith led Salem with a game-high 31points.

Enterprise 49, Salem 40

The Lady Jackets stayed undefeated on the season (6-0, 2-0) witha 49-40 win over the Lady Wildcats.

Joyce Allen led all scorers with 22 points and 9 rebounds forEnterprise.

The Lady Jackets jumped out to a 22-12 halftime lead andstretched that lead to 40-19 after three quarters.

Ruthie May Bridges led Salem with 20 points.

In the boys JV game, Terry Vining scored 26points and Troy McKinney chipped in 11 as Enterprise (1-0) toppedSalem 26-24.
