BOGUE CHITTO – Sophomore guard Jessica Melton pumped in 22points and grabbed 14 rebounds to spark the Bogue Chitto LadyBobcats to a 76-46 Division 7-1A rout of the Dexter Lady BulldogsWednesday night. Melton also collected three steals and fiveassists in the makeup game.

In the boys game, Nick Mark netted 23 points to lead Dexter to a70-57 win over Bogue Chitto.

The Lady Bobcats (18-8, 10-2) got 14 points from YolandaDrummond. Scoring 12 points apiece were Randi Moak and JerricaMcGary. Moak also had five rebounds, eight assists and threesteals. McGary made five steals.

Brook Pittman sparked Dexter with 13 points.

The Bobcats (8-16, 5-7) were led by Tradell Black’s 19 pointsand seven rebounds. Carlos Brown fired in 13 points. DenardFerguson had 11 points and made five assists. Dorian Dunn pulleddown four rebounds.

In the JV boys game, Dexter bested Bogue Chitto 40-26. BrianWallace, Daniel Moak and Fred Smith scored six points apiece forBogue Chitto.

Bogue Chitto entertains Natchez Cathedral Friday night for threegames. The JV girls begin play at 5 p.m. followed by two varsitygames.
