Co-Lin sweeps Kishwaukee

WESSON – The Co-Lin Wolves recorded a pair of wins over theKishwaukee Cougars of Chicago, Ill., Tuesday night at SullivanField.

Co-Lin (10-6) won the first game 4-2 and the second game6-3.

The Wolves are scheduled to host the Cougars today at Noon in anine-inning contest weather permitting.

Co-Lin 4, Kishwaukee 2

in the first game, sophomore right-hander ChuckieStracener (3-0) got the win, working the first five innings withfour strikeouts and one walk. Kyle Kennedy took over in the sixthand Doug Atkins finished the seventh.

Absorbing the loss was Mike Dohiburg (0-1) with sixstrikeouts and two walked.

For the Wolves, Kyle Beall led at the plate with threesingles. Brett Hederman doubled. Hitting safely were Arlandus Brownand Brandon Atkins with a single apiece.

Kishwaukee got three singles from Lance Vandesay. PatFlynn doubled and singled. Collecting two singles apiece were ChadTindall and Greg Witcher. Eric Johnson hit safely.

The winner on the mound in the finale was freshmanright-hander Derek Atkins. Atkins (2-1) fanned nine batters andwalked one. Matt Tyson struck out two and walkedthree.

Hederman directed the Wolves with three singles. Bealldrilled two singles. Hitting a single apiece were Brandon Atkins,Ryan Davis and Seth Lofton.

Homering for the Cougars was Seth Hill. Tindall doubledand singled. Greg Rictor singled twice.
