Services for Avis Elizabeth Mullins of Meadville are 10 a.m.,Tuesday, March 27, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel with burial inMidway Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. untilservice time at the funeral home.

Miss Mullins, 88, died March 25, 2001, at Franklin MemorialHospital. She was born in Franklin County on Sept. 12, 1912, to T.J. Mullins Sr. and Mary Cole Mullins. She received her master’sdegree in education from Mississippi State University.

She was a retired school teacher with 42 years service. She wasa member of Meadville Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her niece, Avis Louise Mullins of Meadville; hersister-in-law, Julia Mullins of Meadville; her great-nephew, JeffMullins of Meadville; and her great-great-niece, Taylor LynnMullins of Meadville.
