Services for Doris Rutter of Brookhaven are 11 a.m., Saturday,April 14, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in RoseHill Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rutter, 83, died April 10, 2001, at St. Dominic’s Hospitalin Jackson. She was born in Winona on Aug. 15, 1917, to WalterClifton Tyler and Nellie Neal Tyler.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of First United MethodistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, WilliamSherman Rutter; and her sisters, Fay Tyler Eubanks, Mary ElizabethTyler Mansfield, Margaret Tyler Steele, and Katherine DurhamEdmonston.

Survivors are her son, Bill Rutter of Brookhaven; her daughterand son-in-law, Rebecca and Richard Manning of Westfield, N.J.; herbrother, Wayne Tyler of Columbus; her sister, Helen Durham Griffinof Grenada; and her grandchildren, Ramona Rutter Lemus, RobinBlaisdell, and Doris Ann and Elizabeth Manning.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church orthe Brookhaven Evening Lions Club.
