Services for Charles Herschel Holcombe of Waterloo, Ala., were11 a.m., Monday, April 23, at Elkins Funeral Home Florence Chapelwith burial at Williams Chapel Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Holcombe, 70, died April 20, 2001, at his residence.

He was a lifelong farmer and a supervisor at Richards MetalPlating in Florence until his retirement in 1999. He was a memberand elder of Williams Chapel Presbyterian Church on SecondCreek.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Hubert Lee Holcombe andEsther Murphy Holcombe.

Survivors are his wife, Iva Dell Holcombe of Waterloo; his sonsand daughters-in-law, Terry and Sarah Holcombe of Wesson, Dwayneand Lisa Holcombe of Waterloo, and Bryan and Ginger Holcombe ofFlorence; his sisters, Edith Hart of Florence and Helen Parker ofWaterloo; his brother, Lawrence Holcombe of Waterloo; and hisgrandchildren, Mary Beth Holcombe of Waterloo, Kyle Holcombe andDaniel Holcombe, both of Wesson, and Chase Holcombe ofFlorence.
