Services for Charlie Brooks of Meadville are 2 p.m., Saturday,June 9, at Mt. Olive M. B. Church in Kirby with burial in thechurch cemetery.
Visitation is today from noon until 8 p.m. at Rollins FuneralHome in Fayette.
Mr. Brooks, 59, died June 5, 2001, at Franklin County Hospital.He was born in Franklin County on May 11, 1942, to John Brooks andBonnie Middleton.
He was a self-employed logger. He was a member of Mt. Olive M.B. Church.
Preceding him in death was his mother and his stepfather, BonnieHarrison Middleton and Woodrow Middleton.
Survivors are his father, John Brooks of New Orleans; his son,Glen McNeil of Baton Rouge; his daughter, Adal Smith of Fayette;his brothers, Felton Middleton of Natchez, Lovie Middleton ofFayette, A. B. Middleton of Red Lick, and America “Chuck” Middletonof Port Gibson; his sisters, Wilma Hall of Port Gibson, Myra Savoy,Evelyn Johnson, Kathy Burkes, Althea Demas, all of New Orleans, andCarol Brown of Baton Rouge; and a friend, Lida Booker of Roxie.
