Services for Marjorie Magee Hammons of Monroe, La., are 10 a.m.,Saturday, June 23, at Mulhearn Funeral Home with burial in MulhearnMemorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hammons, 75, died June 19, 2001. She was born in Brookhavenon Sept. 18, 1925, to James Hardy and Vera Magee. She was educatedat Whitworth College.

She was a business owner and a homemaker. She was a member ofQuota Club, ABWA, Monroe Garden Club, DAR, Colonial Dames,Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Monroe Symphony League. Shewas a member of College Place Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her sister, Elaine, and herbrothers, James and Tom.

Survivors are her children, Marjorie Ann Lozes of Houston,Texas, Linda O’Connor of Garland, Texas, James Hammons ofCollinston, La., Robert Hammons of Katy, Texas, Cathy Gum ofHouston, Texas, and Betsy James of Pass Christian; her sister,Alyce Clary of Monroe; and 12 grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to College Place Baptist Church or to theLouisiana Baptist Children’s Home.
