Services for James Gordon Beeler of Bogue Chitto are 10 a.m.,Saturday, July 7, at Waller Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford withburial in Oxford Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Beeler, 83, died July 4, 2001, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was a former resident of Oxford.

He was a retired senior industrial engineer with AllenManufacturing in Bloomfield, Conn. He was a member of Rough Ridersof Oxford, National Exchange Club of Oxford, VFW Post #3978,American Legion Post 55, Sphinx Temple AAONMS of Hartford, Conn.,and Stepney Lodge Masons of Rocky Hill, Conn. He was past commanderof American Legion and VFW and 32nd degree Mason. He was an ArmyAir Corps veteran of WWII, where he held the rank of corporal. Hewas a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Theresa Loretta Beeler.

Survivors are his sons, Brian A. Beeler of Berwick, Maine, JamesGordon Beeler II of Rocky Hill, Conn., and Bradley J. Beeler ofPomfert, Conn.; his sisters, Gloria M. Richotte of Rocky Hill,Conn., and Helen C. Harmon of Weatherfield, Conn.; his brother,Kenneth R. Beeler of Briston, Conn.; and eight grandchildren andmany nieces and nephews.
