Services for James Edward Parker Sr. of Wesson were 2 p.m.,Saturday, Aug. 18, at Harrigill Funeral Home with burial in NewSight Cemetery.

Mr. Parker, 69, died Aug. 17, 2001, of heart failure at hisresidence. He was born in Copiah County on Nov. 15, 1931, to WebbEdgar Parker and Ethel James Parker.

He was retired from the U. S. Air Force. He was a member of NewSight Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Vera Furlow Parker of Wesson; his sons,James Edward Parker Jr. of Ocean Springs, William Earl Parker ofCrystal Springs, and John Edwin Parker of Petal; his sister,Mildred Sibley of Purvis; and six grandchildren and 1great-grandchild.
