Services for James Loyd “J.L.” Coleman Jr. of Meadville are 1p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at Meadville Baptist Church with burial inMidway Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, Sept. 9, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. atFranklin Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Coleman, 88, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2001, at his residence.He was born in Franklin County on May 26, 1913, to the late JamesLoyd Sr. and Lucinda Posey Coleman.

He was employed with the U.S. Forest Service. He was a retiredrural letter carrier. He was a member of Meadville BaptistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Ruth HickmanColeman; a son; a sister; and a granddaughter.

Survivors are his daughter, Rebecca Coleman Nix; brother, JohnH. Coleman, both of Meadville; sister, Mildred Coleman Galbreath ofNorth Platte, Neb.; four grandchildren; and ninegreat-grandchildren.
