Graveside services for Clark Stringer of Ridgeland wereSaturday, Sept. 8, at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mr. Stringer, 81, died Sept. 8, 2001, at his residence. He was anative of Lincoln County and a graduate of Bogue Chitto HighSchool. He attended the University of Maryland from 1948-51 andgraduated from Mississippi State University in 1952.

He was a business owner and founded Hallmark Cleaners, Inc., in1954. From 1952-54 he was Assistant County Agent for WalthallCounty. He was a member of Meadowbrook Church of Christ. He was aNavy veteran of WWII and saw action in both the Atlantic andPacific theaters of the war.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Burma Stringer.

Survivors are his son, Steve Stringer of Ridgeland; hisdaughters, Becky Blanks of Jackson and Sandra Vance of Ridgeland;his brothers and sisters, Irma McCaffrey of Bogue Chitto, NellNations and Eunice Case, both of Brookhaven, Flavel Stringer ofVidor, Texas, Quentin Stringer of Jackson, and H. R. Stringer ofNatchez; and three grandchildren.
