Services for Johnny Lloyd Neal of Monticello are 2 p.m., Friday,Sept. 14, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Neal-SmithieCemetery.

Mr. Neal, 80, died Sept. 12, 2001, at Baptist Medical Center inJackson. He was born in Marion County on March 30, 1921, to JacobC. and Johnnie Beard Neal.

He was a retired farmer. He was an Army veteran of WWII.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Gordon Neal;his brother, Johnnie Lee Neal; and his sister, Ruby Lee King.

Survivors are his sons, Floyd Neal and Robert Neal, both ofMonticello, and Joe Neal of Silver Creek; his daughters, GeralineJackson of Silver Creek and Johnnie Mae Rutland of Monticello; hissister, Hazel Lambert of Winnsboro, La.; his stepmother, VivianNeal; and 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a host ofnieces and nephews.
