Services for Flavil Hall Stringer of Vidor, Texas, were Friday,Sept. 21, at Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Restlawn MemorialPark.
Mr. Stringer, 87, died Sept. 18, 2001, at Christus St. ElizabethHospital in Beaumont, Texas. He was born in Bogue Chitto and hadlived in Vidor for 57 years.
He was a retired Mobil Oil Company process operator.
Survivors are his wife, Leta Stringer of Vidor; his sons, DonaldStringer of Denton, Texas, Robert Stringer of Nacogdoches, Texas,and Michael Stringer of Reno, Nev.; his daughter, Geraldine Chesserof Vidor; his stepsons, David McQueen of Berkley, Calif., and SteveMcQueen of Port Neches, Texas; his stepdaughter, Jean Hawthorne ofMont Belvieu, Texas; his brothers, Quentin Stringer of Jackson andH. R. Stringer Jr. of Natchez; his sisters, Irma McCaffrey of BogueChitto and Nell Nations and Eunice Case, both of Brookhaven; andnumerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
