Services for Loyd H. Lofton of McCall Creek are 2 p.m. Sunday,Nov. 11, at Concord Baptist Church in Franklin County with burialin the church cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday, Nov. 11, from 8 a.m. until service time atBrookhaven Funeral Home.
Mr. Lofton, 72, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at the VeteransHospital of Birmingham. He was born in Lincoln County on Feb. 7,1929, to Walter Lee Sr. and Eula Blount Lofton.
He was a plant supervisor at Dairyman, Inc. of Meadville andCanton for 22 years and was an oil field worker for several years.He was a member of Northview Baptist Church of Brookhaven. He was aU.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a lifetime member of theDisabled American Veterans.
Preceding himr in death were his parents; son, Loyd H. LoftonJr.; daughter, Brenda Fay Henderson; and brother, Johnny BurrisLofton.
Survivors are his wife, Jo Helen Lofton of McCall Creek; sons,Johnny Lee Lofton of Brookhaven and Gerald Wayne Lofton of McComb;daughters, Carolyn Ann Halford of McCall Creek and Debbie Kay Caseof Brookhaven; brothers, Walter Lee Lofton Jr. and Charles D.Lofton, both of McCall Creek; sister, Maxine Brown of Natchez; 11grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces andnephews.
