Memorial services for Donna Lynn Powell Smith of Laurel are10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, at First United Methodist Church ofLaurel with graveside services at 2:30 p.m. at Riverwood MemorialPark in Brookhaven.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at Memory Chapel Funeral Homein Laurel.

Mrs. Smith, 45, died Nov. 25, 2001, at her residence. She wasborn in Prentiss on Nov. 12, 1956. She spent the early part of herlife in Brookhaven and had resided in Laurel for the past 23years.

She taught in the Jones County School System for 15 years.

Preceding her in death were her great-grandmother, LillyDunaway; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Rogers; and heruncle, Howard E. Rogers.

Survivors are her daughters and son-in-law, Jessica M. Smith ofLaurel and Bridgette and Jay Wheatley of Ridgeland; her parents,Mr. and Mrs. James Doyle Powell of Brookhaven; her brother andsister-in-law, Kenneth and Sherry Powell and their children, Joyand Jamison, of Brookhaven; her sisters and brother-in-law, SharonPowell of Terry and Tina and Jim McGhee and their children, Jamesand Robert, of Pensacola, Fla.; her grandmother, Neva M. Hendricksof Foxworth; very special friends, Lynn and Danny Nelson of Laurel;and a host of very special aunts, uncles, and cousins.
