Brookhaven Academy takes 3 from ACCS

NATCHEZ – The Brookhaven Academy girls handed Adams CountyChristian School a 37-26 beating Thursday night. The BrookhavenAcademy girls are undefeated on the season.

In the boys game, Brookhaven Academy outscored Adams County 18-6in the fourth quarter to pull out a 48-36 win.

Ancy Myers led the 8-0 Brookhaven Academy girls with eightpoints and three rebounds. Anna Gatlin and Angie Davis followedwith seven points apiece. Kelli Byrd and Anna Gatlin led off thebackboards with five rebounds apiece.

ACCS got nine points from Kittye Marks.

Powering Brookhaven Academy’s boys with 18 points and 13rebounds was Paul Coker. Johnathan Watts collected 12 points, 10rebounds and six steals.

Brookhaven Academy and Adams Christian were tied 14-all afterthe first quarter, 23-23 at the half and 30-30 going into the finalframe.

Ty Smith netted nine points for Adams Christian.

Junior high games

Kaci Williams powered Brookhaven to a 39-21 win over AdamsChristian. Emily Langley scored 11 points and pulled down sixrebounds. Michelle Thibodeaux had eight points. Collecting sixrebounds was Allyson Pickett.

Brittany Gumbert led Adams Christian with eight points.

Adams Christian’s boys knocked off Brookhaven Academy 75-65 injunior high action. Cole Hodges paced Brookhaven with 22points.

Brookhaven Academy hosts Bowling Green Tuesday for four games.The first game begins at 4 p.m.
