Services for Helen Frances Miner of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Riverwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is today from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. untilservice time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Miner, 87, died December 5, 2001, at Earl K. Long Hospitalin Baton Rogue, La. She was born in Chicago, Ill., on April 5,1914, to Harry D. Mars and Bessie Russell Mars.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Xi Delta Chapter ofBeta Sigma Phi. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles Everest MinerSr., her parents, one sister and two brothers.

Survivors are her son, Chuck Miner of Jackson; daughters,Marilyn Brown of Yazoo City, and Barbara Strange of GreenwellSprings, La.; son-in-law, Lester Strange of Greenwell Springs;daughter-in-law, Patricia Miner of Jackson; sister, Ruth Horn ofChicago, Ill.; eight grandchildren and fivegreat-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Brown, Mike Brown, Scott Strange,Christopher Miner, Bill Sistrunk and Jimmy Glisson.

Donations may be made to the Faith Presbyterian Church BuildingFund.
