Services for Mildred M. Thompson of McComb are 2 p.m. Sunday,Dec. 9, at Union Primitive Baptist Church in Ruth with burial inthe church cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday, Dec. 9, from noon until time of servicesat the church.
Mrs. Thompson, 87, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at McComb ExtendedCare. She was born in Walthall County on June 27, 1914, to the lateAlex E. and Retha Velma Nettles Myers.
She was a retired seamstress for Kellwood Company in McComb with25 years of service. She was a member of Union Primitive BaptistChurch. She was active in the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at SouthwestMississippi Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed making quilts forher children and grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, ClaudeThompson; son, Larry Thompson; brothers, Jeff Myers and Joe AlexMyers Sr.; and sisters, Merle M. Sterling and Mable D.Wilkinson.
Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert R. and JaniceThompson of Birmingham, Ala.; daughters and sons-in-law, Annie Jo”Ann” and Bob LeMaster and Peggy and Edward “Buddy” Magee, all ofMcComb; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Sterling of Magnolia; brothersand sisters-in-law, Elder Melvin and Olene Myers of Ruth, Emory M.”Bill” and Joann Myers of Pricedale, Jerry and Joyce Myers of Pearland Elder Wayne B. and Sharon Myers of Brookhaven; sisters andbrothers-in-law, Helen Boyd and Sara Jackson, both of Pricedale,Joyce Howell and Charlie Lansing of Gretna, La., and Hilda andDuhart Davis of Sulphur, La.; sister-in-law, Dorothy Myers; 13grandchildren, Steve Magee, Daryl Magee, Hope Magee, Kim LeMaster,Melissa Moak, Robby LeMaster, Mitch Thompson, Craig Thompson, GregThompson, Jill Robinson, Mandy Magee, Becca Laird and Nic Thompson;16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a specialniece, Dora Whatley; and numerous nieces, nephews and other familyand friends.
Pallbearers will be Robby LeMaster, Nic Thompson, CraigThompson, Greg Thompson, Mitch Thompson, Steve Magee, Dustyn Mageeand Austin Rushing.
