Services for Gloria Maxwell Phillips of Brookhaven are 10 a.m.,Friday, Dec. 14, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church withburial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Thursday from 2-7 p.m. with the Rosary at 7 p.m.at Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Mrs. Phillips, 80, died Dec. 12, 2001, at her home surrounded byher family. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on July 16, 1921.She and her husband have been residents of Brookhaven for 50years.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Survivors are her husband of 60 years, Joseph Edward Phillips;her sons, Thomas Jackson and wife Teresa, and Gary Michael, all ofHouston, Texas; Kenneth Ernest and wife Malinda of Baton Rouge, andJohn Joseph and wife Judy of Jackson; her daughters, Gloria GayleSherman of Dallas, Texas, Karen Ann Labat and husband Cyrus ofBaton Rouge, Joan Althea Schuetzle and husband Douglas ofTylertown; her grandchildren, Kimberly Dowling of New York, JeffBlanchard, Yvonne Carleton, Erica Phillips, Jarrett Phillips, andKara Phillips, all of Houston, Trey Sherman and Teri Rooney ofDallas, Jay Phillips of Austin, Texas, Brian Schuetzle and GeraldSchuetzle, both of Jackson, Dana Watts of Monticello, ChristiFortado of Brookhaven, Robin Phillips of McComb, and Erynn Phillipsof Jackson; nine great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Thomas R.Phillips and wife Jean of Brookhaven; her sisters-in-law, EvelynPhillips of Brookhaven and Jeanne Maxwell of Fort Worth; and 27nieces and nephews.
