Services for Willie Earl Thomas of St. Louis, Mo., and formerlyof Monticello, are 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 20, at Rocky BranchChurch with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from noon until 5 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mr. Thomas, 58, died Dec. 12, 2001, in St. Louis. He was born inOma on June 14, 1943, to C. B. Thomas and Willean Thomas. Heattended Lawrence County Public Schools.

He was a disabled truck driver.

Preceding him in death were his father; his wife, Lillie PearlThomas; and two brothers and one sister.

Survivors are his mother, Willean Thomas of Monticello; hisstepfather, Quitman Thomas of Monticello; his sons, Robert Hammond,Christopher Thomas, and Micheal Thomas, all of New Orleans, andLucious Thomas of Detroit; his daughters, Iris Thomas and TashiaraThomas, both of Detroit, Mich., and Julita Thomas of St. Louis; hisbrothers, Charles Thomas and Bobby Thomas, both of Monticello, andQuitman Thomas Jr. of Dallas, Texas; his sisters, Queen Magee andSandra Thomas, both of Monticello, Bertha Gholar of Columbia andStephanie Thomas of Dallas; and 14 grandchildren.
