Services for Vera M. Vickery of Brookhaven are 1:30 p.m. Sunday,Jan. 20, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in PensacolaMemorial Gardens in Pensacola, Fla., where graveside services willalso be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21.

Visitation is Sunday, Jan. 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. atthe funeral home.

Mrs. Vickery, 87, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, at Haven HallNursing Home. She was born in Lincoln County on Dec. 26, 1914, toJames Thomas Sr. and Ruth Laird Franklin.

She was a retired beautician. She was a member of Holly SpringsBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Winston D.Vickery; and sisters, Donis Gardner, Edith Dickerson, MargaretLandry and Ethel Harris.

Survivors are her brothers, James Thomas Franklin Jr. and VollieFranklin; sisters, Paula Walker, Emma Breaux and Bertille Johnson,all of Brookhaven; a special niece, Marian Keller; and a host ofother nephews, nieces and other relatives.
