Services for Lawrence Carlton Brown of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Saturday, Feb. 9, at Southway Baptist Church with burial in CalvaryCemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 4-10 p.m. at Harrigill FuneralHome.

Mr. Brown, 74, died Feb. 6, 2002, at his residence. He was bornin Jefferson County, Ala., on Jan. 24, 1928, to Joseph CarltonBrown and Beulah Frances Barker Brown.

He was an electrician and the owner of a recording studio,Carlton Audio Productions. He sang with the Magnolia State Quartetfor 40 years. He was a charter member of Southway Baptist Church,where he was a deacon.

Preceding him in death were his mother; his son, Dale Brown; hisbrother, I. W. Brown; and his first wife, Juanita Brown.

Survivors are his wife, Bonnie Lewis Brown of Brookhaven; hisfather, the Rev. Joseph Carlton Brown of McComb; his stepmother,Louise Brown of McComb; his stepson and daughter-in-law, Tim andWanda Coke of Brookhaven; his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda andHenry Adams of Hamilton; his sister and brother-in-law, Frances andPat Shields of Dallas, Texas; his grandchildren, Tommy Adams,Rachel Adams, and Dana Coke; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children’s Village.
