Services for Gaetano Nino Barletta of McCall Creek are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, March 20, at Eddiceton Baptist Church with burial inMidway Cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Barletta, 83, died March 18, 2002, at Franklin MemorialHospital. He was born in Venice, Italy, on Jan. 1, 1919, to PaoloBarletta and Isabella Barletta. He came to the U. S. in the 1940sas an opera singer.

He was a retired insurance agent. He was a member of theCatholic faith. He served in the Air Force. He was a 32nd degreeMason.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, and onesister.

Survivors are his wife, Juanita F. Barletta of McCall Creek; hisstepson, Rusty Martin of McCall Creek; his daughter, AdriannaSalerno of Brindisi, Italy; his stepdaughters, Pam Lee of Pride,La., Nancy Gilbert of Madison and June Cotton of Meadville; hisbrother, Saberio Barletta of Latisana, Italy; his sister, EnzaBarletta of Latisana, Italy; and three grandchildren and fivestepgrandchildren.
