Services for Minnie Irene Thompson of Brookhaven were 11 a.m.,Wednesday, March 20, at New Sight Baptist Church with burial in NewSight Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.

Mrs. Thompson, 90, died March 18, 2002, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Copiah County on June 9, 1911, toHenderson Monroe Davis and Rowena Ray Davis.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of New Sight BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, WalterEugene Thompson; her son, Walter Glenn Thompson; and two brothersand three sisters.

Survivors are her daughters, Mrs. James B. “Jean” Brown, Mrs.Melvin “Linda” Smith, Mrs. James “Cheryl” Rabalais, and Mrs. LouiseHux, all of Brookhaven, and Mrs. Morris R. “Joyce” Honea ofMadison; her daughter-in-law, Dorothy Thompson of Brookhaven; and16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and onegreat-great-grandchild.
