Brookhaven overpowered the McComb Tigers 5-0 Wednesday in avarsity tennis match at the Brookhaven Country Club. The Panthersswept four matches in straight sets. They split sets but prevailedin mixed doubles as Claire Cox and Mitch Huckaby defeated NettieWatkins and Blake Giles 7-6, 4-6, 6-4.

Brookhaven, coached by David Misner, stands at 5-0 in varsityaction. The Panthers host Lawrence County today at 3:30 for aDivision 6-4A match.

At Bay St. Louis, the BHS squad defeated St. Stanislaus 4-1Tuesday, led by Stuart Misner in boys singles and Ashley Hall ingirls singles.

In junior varsity action, Brookhaven defeated Bogue Chitto4-2.
