Services for Paul Gustus Lee of Bogue Chitto are 11 a.m.,Thursday, April 11, at Hartman Funeral Home in McComb withgraveside Masonic services at Montgomery Baptist Church Cemetery.The Rev. Charles Brister will conduct the services.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Lee, 85, died April 2, 2002, at V. A. Medical Center inJackson. He was born in McComb on June 27, 1916, to Guss Lee andDella Elizabeth Beacham Lee.

He was a self-employed mechanic. He was a member of Masoniclodge #244 John H. Quitman. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1938and was wounded Dec. 20, 1941, in the Philippines. He washospitalized in Sydney, Australia, for one and a half years. Hereceived the Purple Heart, President’s Citation, two Oak LeafClusters, Pacific Defense Citation, Good Conduct, and the BronzeStar.

Preceding him in death were his parents, three sisters, and twobrothers.

Survivors are his son, Rixon Paul Lee of San Francisco; hissister, Mary L. Carruth of Brookhaven; his nieces and nephews,Essie Dell Westbrook, Phillip Grice, Nancy Callender, AllenWestbrook, Christine Fauver, Phillis Berry, and Janet Hope Grice;and many friends.
