Services for Mary Virginia “Ginger” Walden of Brookhaven are 2p.m., Saturday, April 13, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Walden, 52, died April 12, 2002, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born in Brookhavenon Sept. 16, 1949, to Christine Sullivan Leggett and Thomas E.”Sam” Leggett. She graduated from Brookhaven High School andattended the University of Southern Mississippi.

She was the first secretary of the pathology department atKing’s Daughters Hospital and occupied that position for severalyears. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, Dr. Thomas B. Walden of Brookhaven;her daughter, Christine Walden of Brookhaven; her son, SamuelWalden of Brookhaven; her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine WaldenKnott and Shannon Knott of Brookhaven; her sister, Jean LeggettSmith of Brookhaven; her stepson, Dr. Thomas E. Walden of Tupelo;her grandson, Andrew Knott of Brookhaven; and her nieces, JenniferMeilstrup and Emily Springfield.
