Services for Guysell Mahaffey “Happy” Armstrong of CrystalSprings are 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, at Stringer Funeral Home inCrystal Springs with burial in Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery.

Visitation today is until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Armstrong, 97, died April 14, 2002, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. She was a graduate of Simpson AHS in Mendenhall.

She was a homemaker. She was the oldest member of Pilgrim’s RestBaptist Church and the Marie Tynes Sunday school class. She was amember of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was actively involvedin Home Demonstration Club work on the local and state levels.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Paul D., and her son,Paul Durwood.

Survivors are her son, Billy Armstrong of Crystal Springs; andfive grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
