Charles E. McLendon

Services for Charles E. McLendon of Crystal Springs are 11 a.m.,Thursday, April 25, at Stringer Funeral Home with burial in PoplarSprings Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. McLendon, 65, died April 22, 2002, at St. Dominic’sHospital.

He was a long-time employee of Addkison Hardware, where heenjoyed helping his customers choose the proper equipment forwoodworking. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church in CrystalSprings.

Preceding him in death was his brother, James “Buddy”McLendon.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy J. McLendon; his sons, DonnieMcLendon of Portland, Texas, and Robert L. Howell of Moatsville, W.Va.; his daughters, Janice Eudy of Goodrich, Texas, and Raye JeanBerch of Crystal Springs; his brothers, Kenneth McLendon ofJacksonville, Ala., Robert McLendon of Wesson, and Harold McLendon,Jerry McLendon, and Carroll McLendon, all of Crystal Springs; hissisters, Linda Gowen of Waynesville, Ga., Ruth Loggans of Wesson,and Mary Evelyn Young of Crystal Springs; and eight grandchildrenand one great-grandson.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
