Services for Margaret Lyons Blackwell of Bogue Chitto are 2p.m., Saturday, May 11, at Faith M. B. Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m. with family hourfrom 6-7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.
Mrs. Blackwell, 73, died May 2, 2002, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on Nov. 8, 1928, to Jim Lyons and Lee EsterLyons.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Faith M. B. Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, GannerBlackwell Sr.; her children, Marie Christine Blackwell and HelenRichardson; her grandson, Andrew Blackwell; her sisters, DoraClotel Dillon and Pauline Richardson; and her brother, AlvinLyons.
Survivors are her sons, the Rev. James Blackwell and WilliamBlackwell, both of Bogue Chitto, and Ganner Blackwell Jr., BobbyJoe Blackwell, and Roger Blackwell, all of Chicago; her daughters,Betty Wright of Chicago, and Margaret Ann Lewis, Gayle Lewis, MaryHolmes, Janet Blackwell, and Mae Rose Blackwell, all of BogueChitto; her sisters, Louella Bates, Mary Frances McMorris, and LeeEster Turner, all of Bogue Chitto, Margie Logan, Maxine McGee, andAudrey Jones, all of Chicago, and Bernita Robinson of Los Angeles;her adopted sisters, Essie Lyons of Bogue Chitto and LaWanda Pruittof Los Angeles; her brother, Jim Lyons Jr. of Los Angeles; and 40grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and onegreat-great-grandchild.
