Services for Betty Scott of Meadville were 11 a.m., Tuesday, May21, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Franklin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Scott, 73, died May 19, 2002, at her residence. She wasborn in Harrisonburg on Dec. 16, 1928, to Corry Hebert Frith andMinnie Davis Frith.

She was a retired teachers’ aide. She was a member of PleasantValley Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, Jack Scott of Meadville; her sons,Douglas Zeigler of McCall Creek and James R. Scott of Comma Beach;her daughters, Regina Gill of Meadville, and Rhetta Lacroix andDianne Threcton, both of Baton Rouge; her brothers, Gus Frith andTom Frith, both of Meadville, Ed Frith of Mansfield, La., RaymondNicholson of Jonesville, La., Albert “Butch” Frith of OklahomaCity, Okla., and Charlie Hodges of Crowville, La.; her sisters, AnnMarchese of Jacksonville, Fla., and Connie Harris of Coos Bay,Ore.; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
