Services for Irene Allen Thompson, formerly of Lincoln County,are 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 29, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapelwith burial in Johnson Grove Church of Christ Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday, May 28, from 5-9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Thompson, 85, died Saturday, May 24, 2002, in Cleveland,Texas. She was born in Lincoln County on March 14, 1917, to thelate Merrell and Mary Louella Laird Smith.

She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death was her son-in-law, Lonnie Wilson.

Survivors are her son Jerry and wife Barbara Allen of Cleveland,Texas; daughters, Annette Wilson of Brookhaven, Oree and husbandPaul Walker of Brookhaven, Dorris and husband J.P. Smith ofCleveland, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
