Services for Edgar “Jack” Simmons of Chalmette, La., are noonTuesday, June 4, at St. Louis de Marillac Catholic Church withburial in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens in Chalmette.

Mr. Simmons, 77, died Friday, May 31, 2002. He was born inMississippi, but was a resident of St. Bernard Parish for 45years.

He was a member of VFW Hinton Causey Post #7194, Father HugCounsel Knights of Columbus and the Antique Auto Club of St.Bernard. He was a master sergeant in the U.S. Army and a veteran ofWorld War II and the Korean Conflict.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Feduccia Simmons; daughters, GraceS. Miller and Margaret S. Syrdal; sons-in-law, Steve Miller and JimSyrdal; brothers, Henry Gene Simmons of Brookhaven and Thomas G.Simmons Jr.; sisters, Ruth Vaden and Evelyn Miller; fourgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Vickers, Verrette and Dornan Funeral Home of Chalmette is incharge of arrangements.
