Services for Clyde W. Norton of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. Friday,June 7, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Red StarWard, with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday, June 6, from 4-9 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home.

Mr. Norton, 81, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at his residence.He was born in his Brookhaven home on Sept. 3, 1920, to the lateLouis and Bertha Cade Norton.

He worked in the oil field for Chevron. He was a member of theJesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Brookhaven. He was World WarII veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the HorseshoeHunting Club.

Preceding him in death were his parents; granddaughter, ConnieSmith; and sister, Edith Mae Norton Adkins.

Survivors are his wife, Edith Smith Norton of Brookhaven; sons,Gary Norton and Mark Norton of Brookhaven and Dr. Timothy W. Nortonof Hattiesburg; daughter, Ramona Norton Smith of Pineville, La.;brother, Ernest Norton of Brookhaven; 15 grandchildren; and 11great-grandchildren.
